Getting to Como
By Train
If you prefer to travel by train, Como offers easy access through Como S. Giovanni (Trenitalia) and Como Lago (Trenord) train stations. From there, it’s just a short stroll of about 5 minutes walking to reach Marcello’s Como Lake situated in Como, via Rubini 10.
The walking distance is respectively 550 meters (0.34 miles) from Como S. Giovanni and 750 meters (0.47 miles) from Como Lago train station.
By Car
For those arriving by car, Como is well-connected to several highways. Toll roads provide convenient routes to and from Milan, Italy, and Lugano/Ticino in Switzerland. If you’re coming from the directions of Varese or Bergamo, you can take toll-free “Strada Statale” federal roads that lead directly to Como. Look for signs indicating Como, especially on the highways, or rely on your navigation system or app for guidance. By Train
From Malpensa Airport, take the Malpensa Express train to Milan Cadorna station. Trains run regularly and provide a comfortable journey.
Milan to Como: From Milan Cadorna station, take a train to Como Lago train station (Trenord). The station it’s located just a short walk from Marcello’s Como Lake.
Walking to Marcello’s Como Lake: Upon arriving at Como Lago station, head towards the city center and follow the signs for Piazza Volta. Marcello’s Como Lake is located at Via Rubini 10, conveniently close to the train station. (MAPS link)

If you’ve rented a car at Malpensa Airport, you can take the A8 highway towards Milan. A9 Highway: Continue on the A8 until you reach the A9 highway towards Como/Chiasso. Exit Como Nord: Take the exit for Como Nord, and then follow the signs to the city center (Centro) and the train station (Stazione).

You can also opt for a taxi directly from Malpensa Airport to Marcello’s Como Lake. Taxis are readily available at the airport, and the driver can take you directly to your destination. Keep in mind that a good price would be around 130€.
